As 2024 comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on an incredible year at Phoenix Fitness. This year has been filled with hard work, memorable events, and a growing sense of community that makes us so proud of what we’ve built together. From exciting workshops and themed workouts to charity events and team challenges, it’s clear that Phoenix Fitness isn’t just a gym – it’s a club and a cool community to be part of.

A Year of Learning and Growth

In June, we launched a new initiative: monthly workshops. These sessions have been a fantastic way for members to focus on specific skills and techniques, improving their confidence and performance in the gym. Over the past six months, we’ve covered:

Kettlebells

Unlocking the potential of this versatile tool for strength and conditioning.

Squat and Core Workshops

Focusing on form and functional strength.

Perfecting two of the most fundamental lifts.

One Rep Max Testing

Helping members safely push their limits and celebrate personal bests.

The workshops have been a great success, offering something for everyone—from beginners to seasoned lifters—and we can’t wait to continue them in 2025.

Memorable Moments and Events

At Phoenix Fitness, we believe fitness should be as fun as it is challenging. This year, we’ve had some amazing events that brought our community together:

May the Fourth Galactic Circuits

On Star Wars Day, members turned up in costume to tackle circuit training with a galactic twist. Lightsabers may not have been real, but the effort and laughter certainly were!

Spartan Race Team Challenge:

In July, a team of 20 Phoenix Fitness members joined forces to conquer a 5k Spartan Race. It was an unforgettable day of mud, obstacles, and teamwork, showing just how strong we are as a community.

Member of the Month

We introduced this initiative to celebrate our members’ dedication, progress, and positive energy. Each month, we highlight someone who goes above and beyond, reminding everyone that their efforts are seen and valued.

Charity Event Success

This year, we held a special charity event to raise money for a gym defibrillator and support HCCN (Hunts Community Cancer Network), a local charity doing incredible work. Thanks to the generosity of our members, we achieved our goal while having a fantastic time.

Christmas Party

December saw us round off the year with a brilliant Christmas party. The turnout was amazing, and it was a night filled with laughter, good food, and celebration. It was the perfect way to wrap up a wonderful year together.
